Join Mr. Winston KK Wong as he uncovers the untold story of the Far East Clearance Diving Team at HMS Terror – the foundation upon which Singapore’s Naval Diving Unit was built. Through historical insights and personal experiences,  he recounts his training with the Royal Navy and how those experiences laid the foundation for local diving and commando courses in Singapore’s early defence history.

Alvin’s Bunker invites participants on a fascinating journey through the evolution of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), tracing its growth from the early years of independence to the modern force we know today. This immersive experience highlights the transformation of uniforms, headgear, and load-bearing equipment, showcasing how design, technology, and function have advanced over time.

Through an engaging PowerPoint presentation filled with rare visuals, participants will see how the SAF’s identity has been shaped across decades. The session is further enriched by authentic uniforms and artefacts on display, carefully laid out for close viewing. Alvin, custodian of Singapore’s military heritage, together with Michelle, will share historical insights, personal stories, and little-known trivia that bring these items to life.

To deepen the experience, participants will also have the chance to try on selected uniforms and equipment, pose for photos, and step momentarily into the shoes of our servicemen.
